Government Front For, Long History

　　GuangzhouService Center for Scholarly Exchange (GZSCSE), resulting from the merge of the Overseas Education Service Center of Education Ministry-Guangzhou Branch and Guangzhou Service and Administration Center for Overseas Students in 1999, is government front for and the unique management institute appointed by the Guangzhou Municipal Government to provide comprehensive services for the Overseas Students. It combines the service function of certification for education, qualification of the education committee, the service for those people pursuing overseas study funded by National Fund Committee and return service for Guangzhou overseas Chinese students. It is the only institution appointed by the Ministry of Education to shoulder (include Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan area) certification for overseas education and qualification, the only service institution of sending people funded by government from four provinces in South China appointed by the National Fund Committee, the only institution to apply and give special fund for overseas Chinese students in Guangzhou and the only institution to certify overseas students’ identification.

　　

　　Integrated Organization, Clear Frame

　　Presently, GZSCSE sets eight operation departments: return country dep., service management dep. of foreign experts, advising dep., Rong Hong School, training dep. of study abroad, hunter dep. , international exchange dep. and overseas employment dep., and two logistics ensuring and supporting departments: administrative dep. and information management dep. . Now GZSCSE has a professional and highly efficient team with 70 staff, 90% of whom are bachelor degree holders.

　   The Magazine of “Guangzhou Overseas Students” was created in Oct,2007, with the Guangzhou Overseas Students and carving out as the main line, combining the inspect points of retuning from overseas, attention of hot points, the story of caving out, guidance of overseas study, the club of the returning people etc., to provide the diverse and rich information about overseas study , employment and business launching for the overseas students in Guangzhou or to be in  Guangzhou. In the future, GZSCSE will continue to broaden propagandizing and strive to be the first class overseas Chinese students’ publication in South China area.
